![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ultimately, I felt like Alex really stole the show, so I'm definitely going to go back and read the first book which he is the hero of. I didn't expect this book to have so much humour in it, so I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of times this book made me laugh. ![]() Alex was the perfect brother in law - I loved how he threatened to shoot anyone that hurt Daphne. I loved the Lancaster family and how they supported Daphne every step of the way. The main characters in this story were quite young and innocent (h was 18, hero was 24), so it was really cute seeing them navigate their feelings. I felt sorry for his situation but I really admired his loyalty to his family. I can't remember the last time I read a regency romance where the hero wasn't a scoundrel or rake, so this was a breath of fresh air. I found the hero, James Tilburn, to be an interesting character. It was great to see her blossom, and choose to be brave even when she feared social situations. Wallflower/plain Jane heroines will forever have my heart. Romancing Daphne was an incredibly sweet regency romance that made my teeth ache! First of all, thank you so much to chaity for recommending me this book! I am very rarely in the mood for an HR, so this recommendation came at a perfect time. ![]()
